Robin Hawley – Mechanic
Robin Hawley comes to Team Hammer with an enormous amount of motorcycle wrenching and race experience under his belt. He became a dealership mechanic in 1973, and got into amateur motocross and flat track racing himself after that, then finally started road racing in the early 1980s with WERA.
In 1990, Hawley became an engine builder/tuner for one of the teams competing against Team Hammer in endurance racing. He has tuned everything from front-running 250cc Grand Prix machines to four-stroke endurance bikes and everything in between.
With the encouragement of his grown sons, he moved to Athens to be Michael Barnes’ Supersport Crew Chief.
