Vincent Haskovec

Team M4 EMGO Suzuki's Vincent Haskovec symbolizes courage and the true spirit of a racer. Born in what is now the Czech Republic, Haskovec immigrated to America seven years ago to pursue his racing career. He raced as a privateer in various classes for several seasons before joining the Team M4 EMGO Suzuki stable for 2004. He returned for a second season with the team and won the opening Superstock race of the year with a spirited charge to the front. Shortly after his Daytona Superstock victory, Vincent was injured in a crash at Sears Point. He continues his rehabilitation for the spinal imjuies he suffered that fateful day.

Over the course of the 2003 season, the 30 year-old Haskovec caught the attention of Team M4 EMGO Suzuki when he continuously battled with Steve Rapp for the lead at several races. Vincent won his first AMA Pro National at Road Atlanta last season with a thrilling last-lap pass. Racing enthusiasts at the event will always remember his podium celebration after the victory. In addition, Haskovec tested a factory Superbike during '03 and finished third in Superstock points and ninth in the final Superbike standings.

Haskovec showed his skills in 2004, earning third place in the Formula Xtreme championship for the team after a series of inspired rides on his Suzuki GSX-R600. During the early part of the 2005 season, Vincent showed he had progressed even further and hounded the factory riders at each round.

In his recovery process, Vincent has shown the same fighting spirit he exemplified on the race track. Vincent continues to live in California.
