Tim Anderson – Mechanic

Tim Anderson

Tim Anderson caught the racing bug in the early 1990s, attending AMA Superbike events at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin’s Road America Circuit with his father. He was instantly hooked and wanted to be involved in racing. Anderson got a chance to turn his racing aspirations into reality in 1999 when he went to work at a high-performance motorcycle shop located in Milwaukee. His duties included building racebikes and traveling to local club races to assist customers.

Anderson cut his teeth on the AMA Superbike circuit while traveling with then top-privateer Geoff May in 2004. Anderson then followed May to Team Hammer for the 2005 season. Since then, Anderson worked with Michael Barnes in 2006 and with Michael Beck in 2007.  Anderson left Team Hammer to work with the AMA Rookies Cup in 2008.

In 2010, Anderson returned to Team Hammer in the Contract Services department,  building and maintaining equipment. His experience working with young riders was put to good use working as a Crew Chief in the AMA Pro SuperSport East division.

For 2011, Anderson is building and maintaining M4 Suzuki GSX-R600 Daytona SportBikes for Colombian Santiago Villa. At the races, Anderson assists Superbike Crew Chiefs Rick Kress and Robin Hawley.
