Team Hammer Celebrates 31 Consecutive Years of Racing Excellence in 2011!Team Hammer is one of the most successful road racing teams in the U.S.,
with an astounding 13 WERA National Endurance Championships along with
an incredible 132 endurance race overall wins, including seven 24-hour
race wins and a still-standing U.S. record for mileage covered in a
24-hour race. The team has also won five Formula USA Championships, a
dozen WERA Superstock and Suzuki National Cup Series titles and three
AMA Pro Championships. In addition to those three AMA Pro Championships,
Team Hammer has won 40 AMA Pro races and scored 95 AMA Pro podium
finishes. Team Hammer is a race team in it for the long haul, winning
motorcycle road races over three decades.
Racers Bruce Hammer and John Ulrich founded the team in 1980 and the
two-man team grew to be one of the largest in the country, competing in
the WERA National Endurance Series, the Formula USA Series, the WERA
Superstock Series and assorted AMA Supersport, Formula Xtreme, SportBike
and Superbike races under the direction of Team Captain Ulrich and Crew
Chief Keith Perry.
In 2011, Team Hammer, Inc. raced as M4 Suzuki with riders Martin Cardenas #36 and Chris Ulrich #18 in AMA Pro Superbike; Dane Westby #5 in AMA Pro Daytona SportBike; and Elena Myers #21 in AMA Pro SuperSport; provided racebikes, mechanics, transportation and logistical support under contract to GEICO Suzuki with rider Danny Eslick #69; and also ran the Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides program.
